The best hydration belt - a few flaws but the user can easily fix them

I really like this hydration belt. I've tried Fuel Belt and Nathan Hydration Belt and this is by far the least stretchy option. I bought this for an upcoming half marathon and wanted to be able to carry water and be able to carry my gels and gum so the large pocket and gel straps were perfect. However, I have a few comments. #1 Size - I bought small and my waist is 27 inches. This belt needs to be fully tightened to stay safe for me. So if your waist is below 26"-27" then this belt will not fit you properly. Because the strap loosens a bit on runs over 13 miles, but is easy enough to adjust while running. #2 Where is it located - the brand photos of this product mostly show it worn on the front instead of the back, and women have it very low on the hips - it's almost impossible to wear the belt like this while running. You can wear it in front, but it's not very comfortable; but deep wearing causes bouncing and chafing. You must wear this belt just above your hips or you will have a very bumpy ride. what a fantastic experience. #3 Bottle cap annoyance - when I bought this I read a lot of reviews and found myself screaming at how bottle caps can scratch your hands while walking. And it's true, if you wear a belt across your waist, the bottles stand higher and your forearms will sometimes scrape at the bottle cap, which is annoying at best and painful at worst. But that's an easy fix, just rotate the bottles so the slanted caps point inward, not outward, so the bottles follow the contours of your body - no more interference. #4 How big is the bag – I don't usually take my phone for a run, but I was excited when I saw how big the bag was and thought I could take my phone with me. Yes, the pocket is large and I can easily fit my iPhone in it, and it's big enough for my husband's HTC One, you could probably fit a larger one. But just because you can doesn't mean you should. My first 13-mile run with my phone in my pocket was excruciatingly painful. I carry a bag on my back, so the phone's rigid rectangle was rubbing up and down the base of my spine with every step I took, which caused lower back pain for a week. It also made it difficult to access the bag for my food and I wasted time fiddling with my bag trying to get my gummies. Definitely don't have your cell phone with you. On my last run I didn't have my phone with me and the bag was much more flexible and I didn't feel any pain at all. If you carry a pocket on the front, this may not be a problem. #5 Keep track of your gels - this strap has two nifty elastic bands to hold gels in place, which is great, but only if you have thicker consistency gels. Dear Stinger, Gu, most cliff shots are fine. But thinner consistency gels like Power Gels can easily slip off the straps and get lost, which happened to me even though I thought they were safe. So if you prefer a more liquid consistency, be prepared to constantly check your belt or just keep it in your pocket. Plastic bottle #6. I've seen many reviews saying the bottles smell like chemicals, have a bad odor etc. This was not the case for me. The bottles didn't smell of anything and the water/Gatorade I poured never smelled or tasted different than what it should and I'm very picky/sensitive to smells. So take what other reviewers say with a grain of salt. #7 Bottle Caps - I was a bit worried about the bottles leaking as the caps don't have resealable caps, but the design is amazing. You can only get the water out by sucking on the lid. If you shake the bottles (right side up or upside down), even slight squeezing will not cause leakage. Not only does it not leak, it helps me regulate the amount of water I drink so I don't choke or cough. All in all, this belt is the best thing in the world. A few design flaws, but nothing that can't be fixed/hacked by the user. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a hydration belt.
