This protection along with the case kept my tablet from cracking and shattering.
Trust me, this is the protective film you need! This is my second sentence. The first defender was hit and rolled about 15 feet face down in a shopping cart in a parking lot. At first my tablet looked broken and unusable, but when I removed the protective film, I found for my son that my real tablet's screen was not damaged. The screen protector was shattered but did exactly what it was designed to do. The only downside is that you have to place it properly as it's a bit big for the screen size (still doable), but I managed to place it out of the way.
