Female "Rubbente" waiting. They were powered indoors and ran on about 3 watts of PEP from an old Kenwood handheld (the kind that weighs a few pounds, not a few ounces). Obviously these are long term connectors so it remains to be seen what the failure rate will be. BNC connectors are equipped with a center pin protector, which is a nice touch, especially since the center pins are usually quite small and fairly fragile. They cost about $3.50 for two, which is a lot cheaper than the $4.00 or $4.50 you would pay for a retail plug. I wonder what was done to lower the price. If you use them for low power VHF applications I probably wouldn't bother. High performance - to be determined.
