Review on OtterBox Commuter Series Case For IPhone SE (2Nd Gen - 2020) &Amp by Robert Demissie

Revainrating 2 out of 5

FALSE ADVERTISED AS NOT FOR IPHONE SE - But otherwise typically great commuter case

This is my 3rd consecutive OtterBox Commuter case (original iPhone 5c and SE) that I have made for my new SE (2nd generation) generation) bought. This is the most stylish commuter bag I've ever had, fits great and is exactly what I've come to expect from a commuter EXCEPT the Apple logo on the back doesn't match! (See attached image.) It seems to me that OtterBox just changed their marketing for this case (which also fits the iPhone 7 and 8 since the new SE uses the same frame) without actually testing it on the SE. It's only a cosmetic issue, of course, but for the price - and given that OtterBox is promoting this as a proper commuter case for the New SE - I expect it to line up, or at least be told so. When I started this review the case looked amazing, felt as thin but sturdy as can be and is my favorite commuter case so far, except the logo doesn't match. Some have said the case is slippery - I don't see that as a problem as the Commuter Case is just that: a rubber case on the inside covered with a hard plastic casing. Of course, the hard plastic is slippery, the inner rubber boot is perfect for gripping, and indeed the outside (no hard boot over it) is in all the right places. So I don't see it as a slippery deal for a commuter case. Other reviews have also complained about the plastic cover covering the port. When I don't have a cover on my phone, too much dust gets into the port which makes it not charge, which is why I need a port cover. This port cover is by far the best design of any other commuter case I have and seems almost perfect. If you don't need the cover you can just cut it off but for me this is one of the main features of the commuter case and the cover in this case is very well made. I would absolutely give this review 5 stars if it weren't for the misaligned logo on the back. I know it's just cosmetic but the ads here at Revain implied this case was for the SE and I don't see that as true. Of course it works, but obviously not for SE (2nd Gen). I hope OtterBox fixes this issue and if so I'll update my review when I get a replacement with the correct logo placement. Again, I think the OtterBox Commuter case is the best case out there, but this case was clearly not designed for the new iPhone SE (Gen 2) as advertised. It works, but it's not meant to be, and the advertising is misleading.
