Review on CURT 13240 Trailer Receiver Hyundai by Chad Moser

It was shipped quickly but was not properly packaged. The hitch receiver was taped but not in the box and there were no gaskets to prevent dents and scratches during shipping. Since most of the device is hidden under my car's bumper I didn't care, but was disappointed that I had just purchased a brand new item that didn't have shipping protection. If a heavy piece of metal is placed on my concrete deck upon delivery, expect the paint to scratch and dent. The hardest part of the installation was lowering the muffler. Despite this, the trailer hitch barely fit between the muffler and the car frame. Removing the muffler wasn't included in the instructions so I imagine a lot of people would have trouble with this part. One reviewer mentioned that he needed an extension to get his bike rack working. I have a Thule bike rack that fits perfectly. In general I am satisfied with the purchase. The only criticism is the lack of packaging.
