The blackbird and its yellow counterpart appear to be the last of the sadly endangered breed of hair dryer - what I call, for lack of a better description, the 'squirrel cage' dryer Barrel fan dryers as opposed to the propeller type fans used in almost all other dryers today not only move the air more efficiently but also produce a lower frequency and therefore are much less annoying noise in operation and last longer, at least in my experience. I will continue to insist on only these dehumidifiers while they last. The difference is absolutely worth it to me.
