As long as you don't need to use this for the heaviest, toughest jobs, this tape sticks well enough for a lot of tasks and is much easier to use than silver duct and strapping tapes. At the same time, it's much stronger than masking tapes. I've used it for 3 1/2 years now, taping together lighterweight boxes for shipment and holding together containers like the tops & bottoms of plastic organizers with relatively heavy amounts of stone & glass jewelry beads and metal tools without ever having them split open. I'm about to buy my third roll. The price has remained the same - and reasonable - for all that time, which is another reason to use this over the more-expensive real stuff. But no matter the cost, you shouldn't expect this to be a true MacGyver life-saver or replacement for the heavier and better adhering silver.
