Lots of wildcats live here in Hawaii and they love to make my backyard their tray. Combine that with heat and humidity and you're talking an uncomfortable, smelly mess. I've tried pepper as a deterrent, but it didn't seem to neutralize them, so I saw that and settled on the next best thing. I didn't want to use chemicals because I have a tree and plants in the same area as the bathroom. These rugs lay neatly right next to my fence and the edge of the landscape. This will prevent cats from squeezing as the mat is right where they could step on or walk through. I'm VERY happy with them as I got tired of cleaning up the poop and no matter how much I picked it up to 'remove the smell' they kept coming back. I bought 2 more packs to better protect myself and couldn't be happier.
