Well this size was more than enough for my braids. Then the headache started, after a few days of taking ibuprofen I had to be more sensitive about my business because when I was very busy during the day there was no headache, but when I went to bed the headache started! I don't usually leave bad reviews but after trying my old hood and having no problems I had to help the next person not to make a big mistake. If you have a very small head circumference you can try these, but the average person will feel uncomfortable wearing these hoods. I tried undoing the seam to cut the elastic but it was sewn to the seam between the cap and the peak. In my opinion this is a waste of money if you have an average head size.
