To start off, I've had some real horn vessels before, though much smaller. I understand some of the idiosyncrasies of working with a natural product like horn and frankly those pecuiliarities often are what is responsible for imparting the charm of these things. It feels rugged, it feels odd, and that is exciting. In the case of this stein I'll tell you, this is HUGE. It can hold a great deal of liquid and feels as impressive as it looks. My biggest criticism is that (unlike the item depicted in the photo) this stein is VERY CURVED. Again, I get that curvature is part and parcel with using natural horn but this is.difficult to use because of how curved it is.I can drink out of it, and I have, but I would like this thing a 100x better if it were more straight like the image shown. Is it the perfect object I had in my mind? No. Is it fun? Absolutely. Is it unique? Absolutely. Is it function? Mostly.
