I'm writing this review as a casual gamer, full-time student, and someone using CAD while working from home. For the price I think it is sufficient. Let me explain why. Comparing apples to apples, you can easily find a widescreen for under $200 at 75Hz. If you need a higher refresh rate, you'll get over $200 right away. If you need more than just games, you might look at PIP, PNP i.e. split screen. You can find the worst Chinese brand and save $10. or you could get one from a company that has a reputation for being supportive. I have previously purchased from MSI and they honored the warranty on my laptop. It requires a little more than just plug and play, but not much. The only thing you have to do is go to your graphics card settings and make sure you are in low latency mode. I still don't have the right color but I think there are enough checks I will do eventually. My monitor is on the wall, sorry I don't care about the RGB color bar. However, I will check the stand while the wall mount is on the way. This is a high-quality stand that is attached and screwed to the monitor. The base is pretty heavy. The monitor slides up and down easily and tilts back and forth, but not sideways. You can mount a VESA mount to it if it's small enough to fit in the 4 3/4" square on the back (100mm x 100mm hole spacing) or use the included screw hole extenders if the plate is larger is. The input connections are well below the mounting point, pointing down and away from mounting plates. There is a small hole at the base of the stand for cable routing for those who care. That's probably more than I need for my 1660. I think if I had to buy again I would go with a 75Hz monitor as games like Splitgate rarely go above 70Hz when connected to this monitor (about 100 Hz on a 1920 x 1080 screen). to less puking after a few hours of use, which is important to me. One more thing: I find the menus a bit sparse on this monitor. I've seen other MSI monitor skins online and they offer a lot more customization options.
