When this arrived and I buckled the handle it fell apart at the slightest pull (less than 1lb) making it unusable. This was because the tabs on the male part of the snap connector weren't removed, so they didn't go in far enough for the hooks to fully engage. I used a file to remove the tips and also angled the connector's hooks a bit more and now it works fine. It was expensive and very well made, with about three feet of bungee. But I lost it. This current leader is of lower quality than the old one and has less stretch but is much cheaper and works great after modification. It is unique among most other leashes as you can make a giant loop with one handle. Update after a few months of use: I had two dogs tethered to a post on a leash and within minutes they were walking free. The buckle on the handle broke, possibly because I had to file it down to remove the springs to make it usable, and it weakened. I bought another one and am happy to report that it didn't have the bug that rendered the first one unusable so this one may last longer as it didn't need any modification.
