Review on Enhance Performance with Elpida 2GB DDR3 PC3-10600 SDRAM SO-DIMM Memory by Brandon Hayes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Required update if your laptop has less than 4GB memory

Works great in an HP laptop. The business laptop came with Elpida DDR3 in one slot. I ordered one and now 4GB is running in dual channel mode. Big performance boost in Windows 7: 2 GB to 4 GB. If you have a laptop with 2GB of DDR3 memory and an empty slot, check the brand and type. You need the same brand and speed if you want the laptop to run in dual channel. At 2GB, you will find that the laptop will slow down significantly when only a few applications are open. If you're still using Windows 7, you should use at least 4GB of RAM. If you have a laptop that's only a few years old but want to get something faster, save your money. Upgrade the RAM and replace the hard drive with an SSD. Make sure you also remove unwanted software and adware to keep your system running like new.
