I have several of these traction chain lights in my attic but recently decided to install an air dryer there due to developing mold on plywood roofs. Although I made sure to provide myself with enough light when running the cords, I didn't think I'd need an outlet, so I never installed one. I could easily get power from one of the lights, but I didn't feel like doing that at the moment, so the next logical step was to hook up a light. It originally had one of those sockets that screwed into a light fixture, but that prevented the light from being used. This light killed two birds with one stone as I can now continue to use the light and have an outlet available. Although these porcelain faucets are a better design, I have started to move towards the cheaper plastic faucets, mainly because of the cost. These fasteners are better made from the plastic versions and work well. One thing I noticed that didn't impress me was the screw terminals on the back. I had nothing to compare them to, but they were a little smaller than I remembered. However, the pull chain works well (which can't be true of all these lights), and the bulb and cord connections appear to work as intended.
