Not quite what I expected

I wanted a fresh water tank hose for my RV. The picture showed flat sections of each foot or so to attach to the fitting and add a clamp. My 4ft length didn't have any unribbed areas to grab hold of. It's a little harder to clamp the stiff rib section, but I managed.
