Well, for starters, I have two of these. The first came and didn't work at all. I was prompted from the start to format the drive and when I accepted that option (on my brand new computer) I realized that as a savvy homeowner I couldn't format the drive and it had to come already formatted for use. with windows. I have requested a refund. Unfortunately for some reason I'm ordering online and don't have time for a return so I ended up paying for it and for a replacement. I ordered it for work and to carry important files that I wanted to back up and take with me when I travel. The replacement worked as promised for about a month and a half. At that point I couldn't save anything to the hard drive and I thought maybe the problem was with the computer. I've used a couple of small USB sticks that I have and have been able to use them properly. That's when I realized that my new Cruzer was already damaged and that trying to fix it would most likely mean losing all my work. While I can access all files currently on the USB drive, I cannot add or remove files, making it useless for my purposes. It was annoying enough that the first one didn't work, but now none of them work. If you are storing important documents or something you need or want to keep, I would spend more money for something that will last. I will currently be buying another USB as I need it for work but it will not be a cruiser. I haven't contacted Sandisk to be honest, but knowing that I lost my files is enough for me to try something else.
