Easy to use for a layman like me

I'm a middle aged man who has never owned a flash drive and is very pleased with how easy this thing is to use. I wanted to back up my photos from my laptop and PC and it was as easy as plugging in and dragging onto a flash drive. No software installation, no instructions to follow, no formatting required. Exactly what I needed. I've loaded over 4,000 images onto this 64GB flash drive with over 20GB left. I'm already getting another one for videos as I know it's so easy. If I can do it, anyone…

Before trying, create a recovery CD.

No luck with mine. I have a PC with WIN 10. It started very slowly, and then there was an error during the transfer. I've tried scanning and repairing it to no avail. Finally, after several attempts to connect and disconnect, my computer froze. Tried to reboot several times but couldn't (cold sweat, anxiety), luckily I have a recovery on a lexan flash drive that fixed the boot problem. By the way, if you haven't already created a recovery disk or flash drive, do this. You'll thank yourself if…

Terrible flash drive

Okay, I usually don't write bad reviews about anything unless it's really bad. This flash drive is terrible. Whenever I installed it on my computer, the flash drive completely erased all the data in it, so I had to eject it and then reinsert it. The first time I plugged the flash drive in the second time the data was back, but then I used it 4 more times and had the same problem. I use it for the fifth time and now the data is completely gone. I also tried renaming the flash drive and it didn't

Pros
  • High support and durability ratings from testers
Cons
  • Some issues

Just buy a regular flash drive if you want a regular one

I bought this flash drive because I needed an encrypted drive for school and SanDisk is a well known and trusted brand. However, the first time I use it, I put the file in "vault" for secure access (since it's not a real encrypted flash drive, manually move the files to a password-protected area of the flash drive) and five minutes later when I tried to retrieve the file by going to the vault. I got the message that the flash drive was ejected while it was still in the port and the icon was…

Pros
  • This is poorly done

The first was unformatted and the second got corrupted within a month.

Well, for starters, I have two of these. The first came and didn't work at all. I was prompted from the start to format the drive and when I accepted that option (on my brand new computer) I realized that as a savvy homeowner I couldn't format the drive and it had to come already formatted for use. with windows. I have requested a refund. Unfortunately for some reason I'm ordering online and don't have time for a return so I ended up paying for it and for a replacement. I ordered it for work…

Pros
  • Waiting
Cons
  • The list is getting long.

8GB, 16GB and 32GB size issues. All are 100% reliable for many years. (Bye!) I believe there are still 4GB devices out there in everyday life that continue to work just fine! Unfortunately, I CANNOT say the same about the SanDisk Cruzer CZ36 64GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive, SDCZ36-064G-AFFP. Some time ago I bought my first 64GB model. Actually it was the SAME MODEL and it FELT THE SAME WAY as the one I just bought about a week ago. My first 64GB drive decided to go into "WRITE PROTECT MODE" shortly…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires a power outlet
