Broken after 1 month of use

We used these lights on the outside our house last December and they worked just fine. Yesterday we got the lights out of storage and they would not turn on. I tried removing the controller section and plugged the strand directly into the power block, still nothing. :( Pretty bummed that they only lasted a month.
