The advertised image is not true. This hair is the real deal, especially for African American hair. It's 100% human hair and I really like the natural curl pattern. I didn't curl this hair in the photos I posted; it came straight out of the box as is. The hair is so soft, full and can be parted anywhere on the mannequin. The color is naturally dark brown, something between 2 and 4. SIMPLY PERFECT. The length is perfect for learning to braid, rod, set or whatever you are practicing. The length is about 8 inches in a natural curl and about 10 10 12 inches when unfurled. I bought it for my interns at my salon and ended up leaving it at home for my daughters. Love love love this mannequin. The seller responded very quickly to an email I sent regarding the texture and provided a very comprehensive description. They even contacted me to see if the description they provided matched my needs and was an accurate fit.
