Review on FastCap 10M Dollar Stick by Dan Brickley

So good I'm giving it to friends as gifts

I'm so impressed with this little gem that I'm giving it to my woodworking friends. At first it seemed silly, trivial, anyone can do this trick. I've been holding and cutting things on a miter saw for years. Then something went wrong. The saw blade caught a small workpiece and tried to throw it over the back of the saw. Luckily my arm was well secured. Unfortunately, the violent jolt of tearing off the workpiece grazed the thumb of his left hand. There were no visible injuries, but the finger was numb for more than two months. Good memory. We all want to be able to count to ten at the end of the day. That sparked my interest in the 10 million stick. For $20 it seemed like a good deal. But couldn't I also do that with pruning etc.? no This stick is way better than anything I've made with scraps or clips. Better period. The geometry keeps your hand well away from the cutting area and also applies significant pressure to keep the workpiece in place. It's like those little boards with a hole where a wine bottle hangs. Looks impossible, but actually works. If you don't have a history of sawing accidents - any saw, powered or not - then you probably know someone who does. This is enough to prove that accidents happen. BAMM! That's all. No notifications. Just before and after. Zero Response Time. So plan ahead. Sooner or later something will go wrong. Make the ten million dollar stick (for $20) pay the price. I hope this review is helpful and you can still count to ten next year.
