I bought these to keep my dog from licking the sore spot on his paw. I used 3 times but I finally found the right size. I first ordered the size based on the measurements given in their chart. However, it was too big even though my dog is much heavier based on the weight ranges listed. Then I ordered 2 sizes smaller. The next smaller size fits. As for the product itself, I'm generally satisfied, but since it has a rubber sole, it would be better if it was more "bent or flexed" at the "ankle" joint. When you stand, your back wants to "sink" as the foot bends at this joint. Otherwise, the velcro straps work well and my dog's paw stays dry. I also use a "non-stick" rubber band around the top to keep dirt out. I have cedar shavings at my dog's house. Without tape, many of them end up in the trunk.
