I use ring lights for conferencing. I have a smaller ring light that I used and this one gives a wider ring of light. I like that it includes a color temperature switch because warmer light looks more natural on my webcam. I probably won't be using a phone holder for a phone but I've used this clip in the past to hold a GoPro for some live streams I've done and this one sits right in the center of the ring on top of a spider ball, which is pretty flexible. You get a fairly light tripod for the price, but since I probably won't be holding my phone or camera in the light, I didn't test it for stability. To support and elevate the light, it does its job.
