The walls of the top that hold the seeds are curved in such a way that the lid doesn't come off without a lot of work, and the seed collection tray (the part that's supposed to prevent clutter) doesn't even all Catching seeds because it is so twisted that seeds and shells fall past it due to its curved sides. The plastic base of the feeder has protrusions at the bottom making it extremely difficult to insert the seed collector tray into the feeder. I also had to reattach the base that connects the seed trap to the seed holder, fresh from a single feeder and once attached to a cage full of seeds. Guess where all the seed will go when the base falls off. Yes. Everywhere, everywhere, everywhere. As it should not be with a feeder without a canteen. The base wasn't even fixed like it should be with these two feeders. Maybe not enough glue? I don't know but at the moment 3 of the 3 I've already opened are very poorly made, difficult to use, 2 had to be repaired/glued and it took a lot of work to put them together. I am very disappointed but this brand has hooks on the back so they work in the cage the way I want them to. I will keep them but I would not buy this brand again unless I need the ones that have hooks on the back. Positive note: you will prevent the seeds from spoiling if they work and stay together. I like a tidier feeder for the ease of use and cleaner cage. So I bought a second set of these. But there are other brands that are similar to this style. Buy them if you can.
