Review on πŸ”¨ PC-Products PC-Woody Wood Repair Epoxy Paste, 12 oz Two-Part Kit, and PC-Petrifier Wood Hardener, 16 oz by Tom Tucker

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Easy to mix, good running time.

These insidious carpenter bees were attacking my deck and I needed something to fill in the holes to reinforce the wood. This stuff did its job. I bought it because reviews said it was thinner than other wood fillers. Since I wanted to fill the entire tunnels, I wanted something more fluid than regular fillers. It wasn't as runny as I was hoping, more like soft cookie dough. But it worked. I have several disposable piping bags to squeeze into the holes. It took a bit of force, but it worked (if I were to do it again, I'd use a large syringe or something that's easier to force on than a piping bag). I had a decent amount of work time to smooth the surface but it stayed in place after I worked on it. Hardened at least superficially despite an unexpected downpour the next day. I haven't tried wood fossil yet. This is for another project unless the hell bees come back and I want them to break their jaws on a tree.

Pros
  • PC-Petrifier penetrates deep into rotten wood to restore window sills, frames, beams, columns and moldings.
Cons
  • Obsolete
