This charger is not compatible

A few months ago I bought one of those wired x 4 sockets to clear out the numerous mini-transformers. Yes, it charges my iPad and I Phone, but somehow interferes with the I Pad and I Phone's ability to open, type or do anything WHEN it is connected and you are using the device. Yes, it will charge, but no, you cannot use devices while charging. I replaced it with a new one and it works in all conditions. So the device is not compatible.

Pros
