Starter arrived quickly Installed on my 1978 Johnson and fits perfectly Tested for durability A week later I took my boat on a trip to Dale Hollow and the top nut/washer/spring (which puts pressure on top gear to keep it up to press down again before starting the engine) unscrewed and fell off. Under pressure from the source, the washing machine was thrown into the lake. Had to be towed for miles. It's a nylon nut so I don't understand how it came loose. It works, but if you buy this starter LOOK AT THIS TOP NUT!
