Hard to believe this is a first generation device because it's very, very good. Having owned TCL TVs for several years, I have come to love this brand for its ease of use, quality features and incredible value. Because of this, I was keen to try his first phone and it easily lived up to the quality I had come to expect from TCL. First of all - and perhaps not surprisingly - the display is excellent. The bright, colorful and crisp AMOLED screen looks great. In addition, the curved screen makes it frameless. The battery life is fantastic. I've been using it nonstop for work and play for the past few days, and it hasn't had any lag issues -- even after a long day of relentless video chatting. When it's time to charge, it has arguably the best charging animation I've ever seen on a lock screen. The camera is reliable. Admittedly, it's not as sharp as my old Pixel 3, but the 10 Pro has a ton of extra bells and whistles and overall gives you more control over what you're shooting. The 10 Pro also has impressive build quality, especially considering the price. And it even comes with a case to protect its premium finish. Overall, this phone really exceeded all expectations.
