Square should stay. Square. This square has a hanging hole strategically placed at the weakest point of the square's frame. on a small hand. exactly at the point where the square, if bent, would no longer be a square. If you don't put your tools back in the velvet case after each use, I recommend looking for a model without this disadvantage. On the other hand, this block is quite thick and the stamped numbers will stand the test of time.
