Update: The backpack started tearing where the straps attach to the backpack. I contacted the company as they have a guarantee. I requested a backpack replacement about a month after purchasing the backpack and nothing was done. A week later I submitted another application and was told I would be contacted immediately, but I heard nothing from anyone. Here I am 3 weeks later and still no reply. The guarantee is a lie. I just received this bag yesterday. It smelled strongly when we took it out of the box, so we put it in the exhaust garage. It's made of very thick plastic. It seems more durable than regular transparent backpack. I really like that the side pocket is mesh but has a reinforced bottom. I will update the review once my daughter has used it for a while.
