I am pleasantly surprised by the brightness of these light tubes. Hanging it proved to be a daunting task for me as I did it alone and if you don't position the light correctly the weight of the rope will pull almost all of the adhesive off the surface you are trying to attach. adjusted to at least the first 10 feet (nails weren't an option because it was masonite, not wood). I'm also having a similar controller issue that another reviewer mentioned. After installation, I noticed that if my lights were left plugged in, they would randomly turn on without any action on my part or the remote control. I just went outside after installing them during the day and 3 times they just turned on. With the way I designed my setup and where the power cord to the controller is, I still unplug it at night so it's really not a problem for me (hence the 4 stars) but if I install them elsewhere If I had to plug it in permanently, that would be an absolute deal killer for me and I want a new controller shipped to me - or a refund. Luckily I didn't have random fade/jump/color settings that automatically set themselves like the other reviewer did. The image you see here is actually a white take, and as you can see it's bright enough that the sun hasn't even fully set yet. The image actually looks a little bluer to me and not as white as another brand of LED strip I use in my home office, but it passes my test.
