I think this is a fake. It works, but all my other hot tools are way better than the ones I bought at the professional makeup store. The wand/cord does not leak like all my other irons. I replaced the clip with one I got from an old gold Hot Tools iron and it works better now, but the clip that came with it didn't fit securely enough after 2 months and the Hot Tools lasted forever. Spend $15-$20 more and get the real bargain from a pro or you'll have to replace that bad boy in a few months. The service life of a real HT iron is between 1 and 7 years, depending on how often it is used.
