It is a fake. for iron

I think this is a fake. It works, but all my other hot tools are way better than the ones I bought at the professional makeup store. The wand/cord does not leak like all my other irons. I replaced the clip with one I got from an old gold Hot Tools iron and it works better now, but the clip that came with it didn't fit securely enough after 2 months and the Hot Tools lasted forever. Spend $15-$20 more and get the real bargain from a pro or you'll have to replace that bad boy in a few months. The

Its worth it! Salon Expert Approved!

My licensed and very talented stylist suggested this product as she uses it in her personal salon - and I trust her completely. She has never let down my hair needs and has always taken excellent care of them. She knows hair like no one I've ever met. This is a premium professional tool at the right price! I've been incredibly happy with it since I bought it and have been using it 5-6 times a week for almost half a year now. Make sure to use heat protectants whenever you heat style - and…

Great curler! Lasting Curls

I have long, blonde, very straight hair. Went and did my hair and she put curls in my hair. I told her it was a waste of time because my hair doesn't curl. She advised me that I need a professional hair curler. And she was right. I used to religiously curl my hair with cheaper curling irons and the curls were gone in an hour or two. But this time my curls lasted all day. And still had good waves three days later. It took me a few curls to realize I needed to turn up the temperature a bit. About

HORRIBLE PRODUCT and experience

Warning: TERRIBLE PRODUCT and experience! I have very long straight hair and have used several curling irons in my life but this was the worst curling iron I have ever used. Even on the lowest setting, it completely fried my hair and burned my hair to pieces. Это произошло в сентябре после того, как я купил его, и я подумал, что, может быть, это моя вина, что я установил его на 330F (обычно я использую от 300F до 350F на других моих щипцах для завивки/плоских завивок, которые I have). After…

Worked great, broke quickly.

Worked worthy of a 5 star rating but like the other two I've bought before, this one stopped working after only a few months. It's quite expensive so I expected better quality. I use it once a day and the rest of the time it sits quietly on my desk and there's no reason to stop heating it up after several months of gentle handling. The light bulb stops working and does not heat up. I had to buy my fourth curling iron within a short time today. Unfortunately, I really liked this model because it

Maybe not the real thing.

I have to agree with the previous reviewer who thinks she was scammed. Unless Hot Tools products are usually very controversial, I think I've stumbled upon a fake. While Revain has great prices, my other Hot Tools straightener that I bought from a reputable beauty store costs about twice as much. I should have known better. The color of the barrel is not the same as my real Hot Tools iron and the iron doesn't get that hot even if the temperature is increased to 430, I think it's actually around

Iron defective!: Straightening iron

The temperature is VERY high! burned hair! I am a hairstylist of 20 years experience and have used Hot Tools in the past. This iron is defective. It heats up MUCH HIGHER than the specified temperature. The hair in it was set on fire in a second. The cabin smelled of burnt hair. I'm so glad I tested the flat iron (as always with all new straighteners) on human hair extensions. I would burn the client's hair if I used it on a person. I am disappointed and no longer trust this brand. We will be…

Creates unpredictable curls that don't hold

This curling iron creates unpredictable curls and then they don't hold. I have thick but thin hair that almost reaches my shoulders. I've used a 1.25 inch gold plated Hot Tools iron for years. Lately, my hair has become STILL more frizz-resistant than in the past. So I thought I might try a smaller diameter cylinder. same brand and style but changed to this tourmaline coated model. So I'm going to return it and order the Gold Plated Hot Tools 1 and see if that helps. This curling iron is good…
