Over the years I have used a variety of stands, brackets and even metal sheets that fit between the brackets and my desk. I recently got a standing desk frame with a cheap Ikea desktop and figured I'd just install a lightweight mic mount so I don't need anything, but I was wrong and cracked my desktop. So I figured it was time to put something in between. That's where it comes in. This mount looks better than the replacement mounts or mounts I have because it is not very deep, attaches much better to the table and looks good. They even provide a thin cushion so you don't scratch your desk. Thanks to these mounting plates, I now have not only my microphone, but also a mount that will hold my heavy Sony A7SIII and camera monitor without moving or damaging my desk. .Overall very happy with this purchase. Hopefully in the future they'll make one in white too so it better matches brighter desktops!
