Many good quality filters are similar in many ways. What sets it apart is the easy-to-clean dust pre-filter and activated carbon secondary filter. The pre-filter is a fine-meshed material. The "Filter" indicator lights up when it starts to block. A quick flush with a garden hose and you have a cistern. Dry it when it's off, install it again and press the 'Reset Filters' button - DONE. The carbon filter is actually a honeycomb filled with high-quality activated carbon granules. This means that it actually works for a long time to remove odors (etc.). This device's automatic air quality detection system is a bit overactive. When left on automatic, I found it went HIGH in no time. I'll leave it at one of the manual speed settings.
