All my life I have complained about smelly sponges. There's a trick I've used for years: Wet a smelly sponge all the way and microwave it for two and a half minutes. This will sterilize it and eliminate the odor. But afterwards, your microwave can smell like a sour sponge. I even hate picking up a smelly sponge to sterilize. In the three months I've had these sponges I couldn't believe they really never smell. That doesn't mean I'm convinced that a sponge that's been touched with dirty dishes and then left wet is germ-free. But a little soap and some lemon water squeezed in before wiping down the countertop works for me. I'm glad I never have to pick up a smelly sponge again and I don't understand why these wonderful sponges aren't easy to find everywhere. In my opinion the best sponge on the market.
