This is a fairly inexpensive compass and therefore does not have features such as declination adjustment. I use it to teach boy scouts how to read a map and how to use a compass. It's a good compass for the price, but the build quality is closely related to the price. The bezel isn't as firm as we'd like, this affects accuracy. All in all, not a bad compass, but I wouldn't recommend buying it. It's fine to toss the bag as a backup or as a training tool, but if you're planning on orienteering I'd spend a few bucks more.
