I had a gassing
I know gassing is normal but seriously it's strong for this cable. I will be returning it as I need to air it out and I have ordered it has a usable cord now and not in half a month. I have not experienced this level of odor with any other USB cable I have purchased in the last 5 years so I blame it on poor quality control.
