I have a Catrike Villager. Recumbent trikes are low and frequently not noticed by motorists. The designs also frequently don't have any good places to mount lights. I was able to mount these on the front end of the boom and the top of the seat frame. I rarely ride at night but I do ride in the pre-sunrise twilight. I need the lights for me to be seen rather than to see the road myself. In the twilight, these lights should easily attract attention in the flashing modes. Like most lights, including car headlights, they aren't as apparent in bright sunshine. However, they aren't too bad straight forward and back.I have a multi-port charger in my garage next to where I keep the trike and plan to charge the lights without taking them off the trike. I may never reach the actual battery life but, in the flashing modes at least, it should last several days for most bikers.A few reviewers have said that they have lost lights when the mount came off. I plan to put loose cable ties on them to hold them captive.A few things that I have noticed:The motion detection is very sensitive, which might cause problems if you store your bike in a place exposed to wind, animals, etc.The mounts are purposely designed to tilt the lights a few degrees. If mounted on a horizontal tube they would point slightly right or left. On a vertical tube they would point slightly up or down.If the light is on when you start charging it, it won't automatically turn off. If you turn it off manually, you can't turn it back on until the charger cable is removed.Something that I've noticed with other products is that some smart chargers will shut off charging if the current is less than a certain amount, even if the device isn't fully charged. My multi-port charger is older and isn't smart. It charges these lights with no problem. I tried a new power bank and it shut down at some point before the light was fully charged. Charging from a computer probably wouldn't have that problem but likely is less convenient.
