I started using plastic cooking containers, then switched to airtight glass/plastic containers, but no product can match the durability of Pyrex. I used all my other containers until they all broke and started collecting these. I currently have 10 of these and have never had any issues with residual odor or stains. I hand wash all the dishes but if you put them in the dishwasher make sure the lids come open. They last a long time, but the heat during the drying cycle can cause them to dry out and stiffen sooner, making them more prone to cracking. If so, don't worry! You can buy replacement caps at a very cheap price!
