I have a zero water tank and have been using it for a while but my plants are dying lately and I suspect it is due to bad tap water that I am using for them - - Maybe too much chlorine or something else unhealthy? (Recent reports state that water across California is being tested for high levels of carcinogenic contaminants.) So I bought this Culligan kitchen faucet filter because I didn't want to keep burning through expensive Zero Water filters because I'm drinking with them. and I water all my dozens of plants with it. I installed it and ran water through the Culligan filter for 10 minutes per the instructions. Then I tested it - 3 samples: Zero Water, tap water and Culligan filtered water. The WORST reading on a TDS stick was Culligan's filtered water - it jumped to 245 on a TDS stick. The tap water was LOW - 209. And of course zero water was 0. So why did I spend money on that "filter" Culligan? It seems to add substance to the water instead of removing it. I am extremely disappointed. I will be purchasing chlorine test strips to see if the Culligan filter removes chlorine as advertised. If the chlorine reading is bad, forget it. I am returning this item. Yes, it's easy to install, but what if it makes your water WORSE?
