(Please note the Azon listing wasn't available when I ordered this so I couldn't see the real item) The irony is they usually complain because there is too much wire or tail connected or connecting the device to the computer. The clutter created by all those overly long cables snaking across the table can be really annoying and frustrating, but it's not the solution. At least not for the imac. The end that connects it to the computer is only about 6 inches long, so it dangles ridiculously from the iMac and can't be conveniently placed. Even if this thing had a tail twice as long it would still be incredibly cumbersome. use as it is a buzzing giant bar with ports about a foot long. The funny thing is that out of all its 10 ports, it's only three USB 3.0 ports: one fewer than the tiny Azon Basics Ultra Mini Hub I'm currently using (2.0 only, so I'm trying to upgrade). I wouldn't recommend this to anyone except maybe a fisherman to use as a fish club. Otherwise it's pretty much useless.
