Review on Daddy Chef Grain Cutting Board by Reginald Sealy

I wish I had paid the extra money for a more well known brand because the first day I opened this block of wood it immediately got two black spots not there when I opened the box. I don't know if it was the water because that was the only thing touching it for a few seconds when I opened it. I didn't expect it to get dirty within an hour of opening. I haven't cut anything from it yet and put it on the kitchen table. Unfortunately I opened it 30 days after originally ordering it because I was moving a lot of things around the kitchen at the time so I could return it or ask for an exchange. I treated it with mineral oil and it does the job. Doesn't scratch easily, so far so good. I just don't understand these black spots. It also gets dirty very easily if I'm not careful. It looks nice when someone sees it from a distance. The texture really helps hide the knife marks.
