Bought as a gift for my mother who likes and often listens to songs on her MP3 player. Previously, she used free headphones that came with her MP3 player. She often said they played louder than her old ones. And after trying them out myself, I agree that they definitely play louder and lighter. And while the highs are a bit tinny, the bass is definitely boosted. They are good for the price. If you're looking for more, I'd recommend the Creative EP-630, they're $20. And these are the best headphones I've personally used for under $50.
