Review on AKARMY Women's Casual Camouflage Cargo Pants with 8 Pockets for Work and Everyday Wear by Pete Juarez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Loved the fabric but I'm petite and.

I liked these pants and really wanted them to work. Was very happy with the construction and the fabric. However, I'm 5'1' and 150 pounds compact petite with curves. I took measurements and read reviews, then tried for a twelve. The problem is that the waist was okay, I would have made it work, maybe with a belt, but the bum did not do me any favors, (my husband voted but I could kinda tell anyway!) while the thighs were barely wide enough around, leading to uncomfortable bunching. I used to wear U.S. Army cast off fatigues when I was 30 pounds heavier without thigh problems, if that helps. In these pants I could still do a bit of a roundhouse kick and some stretching, but afterwards I had to tug everything back into place, which is not what you want for a pair of active wear pants. I wanted to be able to work out during really cold weather. For a short girl, the length of of the crotch was too deep. It bunched up in the front and gave me fabric rolls that were not comfortable or attractive. If I went down to a ten, my legs wouldn't get in and my hips would likely be way too tight. Going up a sizes will mean looking like I want harem pants, so I'm regretfully returning in acknowledgement that these are simply not made for me. Back to the hunt.sigh. Short, curvy girl problems. If you're 3+ inches taller than me, enjoy. Wish I could.

Pros
  • The pants provide protection from the elements, important for outdoor activities
Cons
  • May not be breathable enough for some customers
