This thing worked great right out of the box. In combination with the app, programming has become extremely easy. The settings allowed me to set timers for different wave modes and static running. There are pause settings of 10 or 30 minutes for feeding or maintenance. The device does not emit any sound. My wife (not a fisherman) let me unplug the Hydor in the aquarium and told me to buy another one. It has all the features of an expensive device without the expense. The device is only about 1.5 inches of the total thickness of the glass. The magnet has a silicone cover that allows you to adjust the device. The magnets have a nice felt that is great for acrylic or glass. I was amazed that it had a hanger for the brain and cord. This is the first review I've written on Revain, I love this item so much.
