Review on ๐Ÿš— Revolutionize Your Vehicle's Shine with AUTOSCRUB Medium Grade Sponge [AS-018] by Nicholas Harrington

A quick and messy way to detail your car

I was very skeptical when I noticed that Nanoskin AutoScrub claims to be better than a clay block. My local store sold the kit for $26, but I didn't need the aerosol lube since I had several bottles at home. I figured why not just use a sponge. I couldn't find a sponge in Hawaii so I ordered one from Revain. I first used this product with Clay Magic and was amazed at how quickly and easily I was able to get through a part of my car. If I had to sculpt a dome out of clay, it would usually take me about 30 minutes to smooth it out. With AutoScrub it took less than 15 minutes. I then mixed the sponge with Poor Boy's Quick Detailer and was more impressed with the shine and silky feel. It took me about 1-2 hours to detail my car with AutoScrub. Last time I clayed my car it took 3-4 hours. I have yet to test this on an older car that has these tiny rust spots that only go away if you coat it with clay. There were times when the sponge struggled to remove the sticky mass of tar, but it just took more effort. Perhaps the fine version of this sponge is better suited for this application. I don't know what's in this product, but I can't figure out if it's some kind of rubber polymer. One of the good things about this sponge is that you can just rinse it off if you drop it on the floor. I have read reviews of people who have wrecked their car with this product but that was when they used the orbital adapter version. I suspect they didn't wash it off after each working on a section. I had a bucket of water next to me while I was fixing the car.
