Prevents water leakage

Gaskets worked great on my 2005 RSX. The installation didn't go as smoothly as some youtube videos show. The screw in the rear wheel well is located near the tire, making access to the screw difficult. Jacking up the side of the car you are working on gives you the freedom to work in comfort. Some videos suggested removing the tire. I used a very short 2 1/2" Phillips head screwdriver, but even that was too long for the job. A flat square head screwdriver would make the job easier. Next I had 2-piece rubber fenders (standard?). The part closest to the body will placed between the two body panels. If you do not replace the inside of the fender between the panels, the fenders will not fit properly. Every few rainy days I would have a cup or more of water in the trunk and you could also see the tail light assembly was filled with water. After about a week of rain and snowmelt I haven't seen any leaks and the trunk is drying up.

Pros
  • Comfortable to use
Cons
  • Modern
