Review on Flex Sip Lid for Hydro Flask Wide Mouth Bottles by Adam Tidd

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Finally the perfect lid for my hydroflask!

I bought a 22 oz flip top Hydroflask primarily for coffee and tea at work. Two downsides: the lid kept dripping from the vent and there's no carrying handle. The first was enough to break the deal and I stopped using my Hydroflask because I didn't like showing up to meetings with coffee stains on my blouse or constantly wiping down conference room tables. I wanted to buy a regular cap with a wide mouth grip, but damn it, I really wanted a practical drinking cap. Oh miracle, a new drinking cap! It was perfect for coffee, not a drop in sight. Where it shone even more was during our hikes last week. I could carry it by the handle for shorter hikes and grab a quick sip of cold ice water when needed without having to unscrew the cap. I'm constantly clumsy so the only downside to stumbling or falling is that when the hydro flask hits the ground it leaves dirt around the lip you're drinking from. Another issue is that you have to twist the lid to open or close it, meaning potentially germ-ridden fingers can touch your mouth. Considering we're mostly at home or out in the wild with sanitized hands, I'm okay with the comfort tradeoff.
