After using a plastic caliper to familiarize myself with precision measurements (RCBS trademark) I bought a Browne & Sharpe (30 years ago) and was pleased with its craftsmanship and accuracy. It has weight, smooth operation, precision and repeatability. I measured the stainless steel test sample several times with no difference. I wonder if Browne & Sharpe are doing this for Fowler considering it's made in Switzerland? This model comes with a lifetime warranty against defects and this combined with the Swiss reputation for quality and Fowler as an American company made this an easy purchase.
