These v4Ink toner cartridges appear to be of good quality. Well packaged (two in a box). And they come with amazingly clear instructions and a large sticker to remind you you're backed by a 2-year guarantee. After opening the cartridge packaging, remember to remove the two orange tabs at the ends of the cartridge. These tabs hold the cartridge rolls in place during shipping and storage. Also, like every toner cartridge I've ever used, you have to pull out the white plastic tab that opens the toner hopper. I put the prepared toner cartridge into my printer and the red "replace toner" light didn't go off, so I printed the 50-page cookbook anyway. After that the light went out. Probably something with the printer. The 50-page cookbook turned out great. The all-black pages looked a bit smudged if you looked closely, and the toner definitely smelled different when the printer was printing. I think something related to the merge process. The text and photos in the cookbook turned out well, so I'm deducting a star for the black speckled filling, but other than that I'm very happy. These cartridges cost a seventh less than the original Canon 104 cartridges, so I'm happy to settle for a lower quality solid black area. I will also learn to ignore the strange smell. The v4Ink warranty sticker was on the side of the printer.
